STAY @ HOME, BE A
HERO !!
There is lull and fear of the CoVid19 virus in the air all across the globe. Thanks to the technology for the instant right updates and no thanks to some of its irresponsible users too. Our government has rightly undertaken a precautionary drive and instructed all of us to stay indoors for a week at least. I appeal to all to strictly follow the same in the larger interest of the society.
Lets look at how is staying at home perceived?
Some may accept it happily, some forcibly and some could rebel. Why ?
Well I being self-employed am quite used to it. In fact my few friends always make fun of me saying that I am jobless. They often call me during cricket matches for the score update saying that they know that I am always at home. Well so for me staying at home is pretty normal. I can keep myself busy at home and I accept the instruction.
There is also a sizeable wise population who accept to work from home without any complaints although it may be a bit inconvenient some time. They are the real obedient good ones.
Then there are some of those who leave home every day at a specific time for work. It is going to be terribly difficult for them to stay back. They are simply not conditioned to be busy at home. Home for them is a facility to get ready and rest so that they can go to work. These are the ones who will react negatively to the government's decision, criticize it. The will perceive this precautionary measure as a forced one. And to support their own argument they would even undermine the seriousness of the calamity. Their defense mechanism will be at its best to win arguments against those supporting the cause.
Then there is one more category who independent of working or not would not prefer to stay at home. They possibly may not be getting along well at home with their family members. Their world is out there in their friend circles, train groups, their office groups or their evening gatherings and only their holidays are somehow for the home members. These would not even bother to argue the merit of the precautionary measure but simply smirk at it and consider those taking precautions seriously as fools. According to them if something has to happen it will happen …I am not going to stay at home. These are the dangerous ones. Not just in the time of calamity but these are the ones who generally do not abide to law.
Then there are the unfortunate ones who may have better working conditions than their living ones and also the ones who earn their daily wages. They obviously would not want to miss work to be at home. Please help if you do come across someone like this.
You may relate to whichever category mentioned above, please remember in every case YOU ARE THE HERO… because the safety of the society is in your ACTION of staying home and not in the KNOWLEDGE of doing so or in the knowledge of Corona Virus through social media.
